INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS -- PERIOD 1

CHAPTER 4 -- SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF BUSINESS
End of Chapter Questions:
  1. What are the social responsibilities of business?
  2. What are 3 ways in which businesses contribute to our communities?
  3. In our community where we are in the midst of gas drilling, do you feel the companies involved are being socially responsible?  Examples.

    2.EPA, ADA, Age Discrimination in Employment Act

    3.I do believe that business in our area are being socially responsible to some point.

    4.They take a lot of effort to make sure everything is covered in there Code of Ethics.

  3. 2) I think businesses in our communities are extremely important. They contribute in a variety of ways. These include providing job security, helping with community events and providing income to the government through taxes.

    3) I do not think that companies are being socially responsible in the area of gas drilling. I feel that they using money as an influence to the landowners and withholding crucial environmental information that could in turn change the landowners mind
